Goals & Expectations

The Sawa North America Convention is a vibrant cultural event held every two years in a North American city. Initiated by the Sawa community, originating from Cameroon, a country in Central Africa, this initiative is driven by Sawa community associations in the United States and Canada.

This event provides an excellent opportunity for networking, strengthening connections, and fostering unity, while offering a moment of perfect communion among all Sawa people. Each edition is unique, centered around a rich cultural celebration that includes conferences, youth-focused activities, exhibitions and sales, and artistic performances.

The primary goal of this event is to promote Sawa culture while strengthening ties among members of the diaspora, Canadians of Cameroonian origin, and local Canadian and American communities.

Let’s come together and celebrate our diversity in unity!
